One of the organisations highlighted for their "BIG IDEA" have been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2022 National Highways Industry Awards.
Back in 2018, Steve Perkins, Managing Director of Steve Perkins Associates spoke at our annual event about how through a ground-breaking approach, a few simple interventions and a proactive use of technology it was possible to improve conditions around health and occupational hygiene.
In the audience that day was Elaine Gazzini of Connect Plus, who then proceeded to engage Steve in a conversation about his approach.
Engaging with the One Community on the M25 which includes Safer Highways members Jackson Civils, Osborne, Tarmac and Atkins both Connect Plus and Steve worked towards an innovative, yet collaborative and inclusive approach.
Taking place at the ICC in Birmingham, the National Highways Industry Awards represent the pinnacle of organisational recognition from the client and, as such, are highly coveted.
Speaking about his delight at the shortlisting Mr Perkins said,
"Combining our expertise in health protection with the collaborative M25 culture and the leadership shown by Connect Plus, has produced significant measurable health control;land culture improvements."
